Student Policy

We provide a safe learning environment where students are able to participate, engage, and learn. This means students are expected to show respectful behavior to other students and instructors and complete homework consistently. Because of our low instructor-to-student ratio, if a student is being disruptive, it hampers not only the student but other students' learning experience as well. If a student shows poor work habits by not participating during in-class activities or failure to complete homework, we will give them a warning. If the behavior is consistent we will communicate with the parent to discuss the best course of action. If problems are persistent, we reserve the right to remove them from the class.

Attendance Policy

Our attendance policy is to alert us 24 hours prior to the session date and time or the session will be charged in their billing cycle. With a 24 hour notice of absence, we offer only one makeup session once a month. If a student is going to be late, please notify us.

Payment Policy

The billing cycle starts at the time of payment and will be recurring monthly. Within that month, you will have the appropriate number of sessions specific to the program. We accept payment via credit card, Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check.

If you want to make changes to your payment or see your current plan and billing date, please click on the "Payment Portal" button.

Monthly payments will stay the same throughout the year until May.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelling a program during the month, students will have the sessions available until the end of the billing cycle. Please let us know 1 week before the next billing cycle to avoid charges. There are no refunds once charged. You may cancel on the payment portal but it will cancel at the end of the billing date.

  • TECH REQUIREMENT
All students will need access to Google Classroom where they can keep track of homework assignments and activities. Some students will have to bring a laptop and have access to a Google account to use Google Docs. Student's school accounts WILL NOT WORK, so you will need to set up a personal Google account separate from their school accounts. We ask that you provide your child's Gmail address (not a school account) before the first day of attendance.
  • What is the teacher to student ratio at ReadingPlex MathPlex?
At ReadingPlex MathPlex, we maintain a low teacher to student ratio to ensure personalized attention and effective learning outcomes. Our average ratio is 1 teacher to 5 students, allowing for individualized support and engagement.
  • Do you offer online classes?
Yes, some of our classes are all in-person, hybrid, or all online.
  • Will my child receive homework after each tutoring session?"
Yes, we assign targeted homework after each session to reinforce the concepts covered during tutoring. The assignments are designed to be manageable and directly related to what was learned, helping your child practice and retain new skills. Homework is an essential part of our program as it allows students to continue learning outside of the center and helps us track their progress.
  • How can I track my student's progress?
With Google Classroom, both the student and parent can see assignments and grades. Furthermore, we provide individualized notes for each student - this can be accessed through our member portal or you may ask for a copy of their progress report.
  • What is the cost of your programs?
Our program rates vary depending on the program and the level. We begin with an initial assessment to understand your child's strengths and areas for improvement. After the assessment, we are able to provide detailed pricing information. We also offer a discount if your student enrolls in ReadingPlex & MathPlex!
  • Are parents allowed in the center?
For the benefit of all our students, we maintain a focused and distraction-free environment, which is why we kindly ask that parents do not stay in the center during tutoring sessions. This policy helps students concentrate better and fosters an independent learning atmosphere. Parents are welcome to wait in our designated area or nearby, and we're happy to provide updates on your child's progress at the end of the session.
