About Us
ReadingPlex was founded because a lot of students, mine included, are comfortable reading books, however, it was unclear if they fully understood the deeper meaning of the text.
ReadingPlex students improve their reading comprehension, writing ability, and vocabulary.
"In all of our programs, we teach methods to develop life-long study habits. This includes: effective note-taking skills, test-taking strategies for success. From these methods and program content, students become critical and independent thinkers!"
We go beyond thinking - we want students to become effective speakers. From our programs, there are student-led presentations to demonstrate their reading comprehension, writing ability, and use of vocabulary to become great speakers!

"Four years ago, my friend recommended their book club/discussion sessions. I was not sure how it would work on-line because we lived in a different state. She loved most books they read together, and often borrowed additional books from the sequel all on her own. Fast forward from 3rd to 7th grade (she continued every week with almost no breaks!) --she moved on to the writing sessions. It is challenging to continously write every week, but she says it has given her confidence in writing. They not only write but spend a lot of time discussing various topics after watching TED videos, news, etc. As her schedule gets busier in middle school, I asked her if she wanted to stop the writing class. She says no!! As much as she does not always enjoy all the weekly homework, she says the continuity and care she has received from the teachers, the trust she built with them, makes her want to continue. What more could a parent ask from a tutoring service! We are now thinking about starting the math class as well!"
